What is damper butterfly valve?
A damper butterfly valve is a type of rotary control valve used to control the flow of liquids and gases. This type of valve is widely used in many industries, such as chemical, power plant, oil & gas, iron & steel, and food. The main components of a damper butterfly valve are a disc-shaped disc mounted on an axle that passes through the middle of it and an actuator that turns the disc from one position to another.
Damper butterfly valves can be either manual or automatic depending on the application they are being used for. Manual models typically require someone to physically turn the disk by hand while automatic types can be programmed with commands given by remote systems or controllers. The disk inside these valves has specific openings known as “butterfly openings,” which spin open or shut when turned allowing liquid or gas to pass through them at different rates depending on how far open they are spun.
What are the applications of ventilation butterfly valves?
Ventilation butterfly valves are increasingly being used as an essential part of ventilation systems due to their lightweight construction and ease of operation. These valves are often used in air conditioning systems, smoke exhaust systems, and heating applications, as they offer superior performance with low maintenance requirements. Furthermore, they can be quickly adjusted in real-time to adjust airflow or shut off airflow completely when needed.
In the industrial sector, these valves are employed in many industries such as food processing plants, water treatment facilities, chemical production plants and power generation facilities. They control the flow of air from fans or other devices in order to maintain a regulated environment for employee safety and health. In addition to this, butterfly valves can be found on oil rigs where they regulate water pressure entering pumps which reduces wear and tear over time while providing efficient operations.
